A university student invents an e-commerce platform, SHULE MALL

Global electronic commerce is expected to jump by 16.8% this year, to 500 trillion shillings in 2021 buoyed by the adoption of technology. In Kenya, the growth of E-Commerce continues to outstrip traditional shopping habits with sales expected to reach 200 billion shillings according to Dalberg’s research group. The growth of the sector has seen new entrants like Wilfred Chege. The fourth-year student at JKUAT has set up an online shopping mall called SHULE MALL that is changing E-Commerce transactions in institutions of higher learning.
