About 400 people dead as floods hit Afghanistan – Reports

At least 400 people have lost their lives in recent floods across Afghanistan, the TOLOnews broadcaster reported on Wednesday, citing the country’s ministry of natural disaster management.

According to the ministry, people whose homes have been damaged by the floods have been evacuated and provided with tents while the injured have been hospitalized.

Monsoon seasons, which run from June to September, cause considerable damage every year in South Asian countries due to severe floods and landslides triggered by heavy rains.
