AFC Leopards have unveiled Belgian Ivan Jacky Minnaert as the club’s new head coach on a 2 year deal while former head coach Jan Koops and his assistant Nicholas Muyoti have been retained in different roles.

The team’s Interim Management committee unanimously agreed to hire the Belgian, who was formerly handling Rayon Sports in Rwanda.

Under the new arrangement Jan Koops will be the new technical director for the club’s  under 19 team whereas Muyoti will be retained to deputise the Belgian.

Ivan Jacky resigned from Rayon Sports early this week terminating a one year contract he signed with the Rwandese club in November.

Apart from Rayon Sports, Ivan Jacky has handled Djoliba AC of Mali, Al Ittihad Tripoly of Libya, VB Addu FC in Republic of Maldives, Club Deportivo San Roque Under-19 in Spain and he has UEFA pro license.

Ivan Jacky’s first assignment will be a league match against Bandari next weekend with the side hoping to extend its current good form that has seen in it sit joint top on the log with 4 points from a maximum six after two opening rounds of the 2016 season.
