Amos and Juma strike Ksh 10.7 M mCHEZA jackpot

Samson Juma from Kakamega and Amos Waweru from Murang’a have each dipped into the Ksh 21.4 million mCHEZA jackpot prize becoming Ksh. 10, 724 314 richer.

Speaking during the press conference to receive their prizes, Samson and Amos could not hide their excitement over their newly acquired millions.

46 year-old Samson works as a humble cleric in Kakamega, while 31-year-old Amos and a father of two is a driver with Security Africa Group.

“I come from a humble background, and this is God- sent for me. I am a driver and this will help me buy a few assets and improve my life,” said Amos.

“I can’t believe it, this still feels like a dream, I will be able to give my seven children a successful future I never had,” said elated Samson.

The press conference was witnessed by representatives from Betting Control and Licensing Board and financial advisors, Viva Consulting.

While congratulating the winners, Acumen Communications Limited Chief Executive Officer Peter Karimi assured the winners that they would receive financial advice to help them manage their finances.

“In our presence are top notch financial counsellors who will equip our winners with the necessary financial management skills to ensure that they spend their money wisely and build a better future for their families,” said Peter.

The winners were confirmed on Monday evening, following a system reboot that froze operations from Saturday.

Peter also acknowledged the hitch in the servers, and assured customers that mCHEZA is investing in infrastructure to enhance the service offering.

“Working with our service provider Safaricom, we were able to resume normal operations following a system outage which ended on Monday. We are investing in an enhanced service offering which be launched in the market in the next few weeks that will enable online, mobile and live betting. The platform included the latest global technology with increased server capacity to manage our growing customer base,” noted Peter.

The sports gaming platform which was launched in December 2015 has been on a fast growing trend, working with international gaming partner, Intralot, a global leader in gaming.
