ANC party Leader Musalia Mudavadi held a consultative meeting with Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru as he continues with his engagements with Mt Kenya leaders ahead of 2022.
Mudavadi who has declared he will not support another presidential candidate in the 2022 contest is keen to woo the vote rich region to support his candidature next year.
His meeting with Waiguru came days after he was hosted by former Members of Parliament from Mt Kenya in Sagana to deliberate on ways of partnership in readiness for the 2022 general elections.
Waiguru said the two deliberated on National Unity, the Economy, healthcare and women Inclusivity in national leadership.

During the Sagana meeting convened by former MPs Mutava Musyimi and Humphrey Njuguna, Mudavadi said he is seeking the regions support to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta once he rtires.
“I need your partnership and I need your prayers. Mt Kenya regional is so pivotal and cannot be ignored if you want to lead this Country. Your input, role and blessings as a region will be very critical for my cause,” He said.
He called for lasting solutions to address the growing rebellion among the young people saying they will play a huge role in deciding who becomes President in 2022.
“If you give me a chance and we work together we will be able to advance this Country to the next frontier,” He said.
Njuguna welcomed the initiative saying as a region they will continue engaging Mudavadi on ways of partnership saying Mt Kenya has the votes to decide the 2022 contest.
Musyimi on the other hand expressed his gratitude for the candid conversations they had, saying they reflect the concerns and constraints of our people across board.
A week earlier, the ANC Party leader was in Kieni constituency in Nyeri where he enaged top leaders among them CS Mutahi Kagwe, CS Joe Mucheru CS Peter Munya, Governor Mutahi Kahiga and the host MP Kanini Kega.
