Government pathologist has established the 19-year-old Harrison Irungu who was shot dead by a drunk deputy police OCPD in Muranga county, was hit by at least seven bullets.
According to the autopsy report, the deceased had multiple gunshot wounds on the chest, back, abdomen, buttocks, and thighs.
The independent policing oversight authority has already launched investigations as the parents of the deceased youth await justice.
The family wants the officer to be arrested and charged with murder saying he must have misused his gun because he was drunk.
The gunshots inflicted massive bloodshed in the chest cavity, fractured his ribs and tore his lungs and heart.
According to Irungu’s father, his son was walking home from Kangema when he met the drunk police boss.
The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) investigators were present during the post-mortem.
And as investigations continue, Murang’a Security team has not issued any statement denying or accepting that the unfortunate incident was perpetrated by one of their officers.
