Sportpesa Premier League side Bandari FC have been training for three weeks at the Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa and coach Muhidin says his players have responded well to training, and is confident they will beat their opponents.
Muhidin says they have recruited six quality players to strengthen the forward line, midfield and defence.
The new players recruited by Bandari are Dan Sserunkuma, Bernard Mang’oli, Edwin Wafula, Felly Mulumba, Meshack Karani and Edwin Lavatsa.
The Coach is confident they will go past preliminary round and also going for the Sportpesa Premier League title. Meanwhile, Gor Mahia continued to impress in their pre season tour after winning their first match in Sudan.
Gor Mahia beat Al Hilal 1-0 in a tough friendly encounter with the lone goal being netted in the second half by Enock Agwanda.
“Kogalo” lined up a series of friendly matches as they prepare for the Africa champions League against CNaPs Sport FC of Madagasca as well as the defence of their Premier League title they won three times in a row in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
