Bandari FC winger Abdalla Hassan has been named the Kenyan Premier League Player of the month of January at an award ceremony held Tuesday at Mbaraki Sports Club.
The Harambee Stars forward was in fine form in January where he scored three goals and set up one as his side registered three wins.
Hassan beat Mathare’s Cliff Nyakeya and Kakamega Homeboyz captain Allan Wanga to bag the award in a vote conducted by Sports Journalists Association of Kenya (SJAK).
Hassan garnered a total of 15 points while Nyakeya came in second with 11 while Allan Wanga finished third garnering 10 points.
For his efforts, the winger was awarded Ksh 100,000, a personalized trophy and a 49 inch TV.
His team also got a cash reward of Ksh 100,000.
He becomes the second recipient of the award this year after Kakamega Homeboyz’ Peter Thiong’o won the December award.
