Bankers kick off Kenya Cup season with a 27-5 win

The bankers kicked off their Kenya Cup season with a 27-5 win against the Menegai Oilers at the RFUEA grounds.

The emphatic win came as a result of good play from both the backs and the forwards who used the ball well and tactically.

All tries were scored in the rainy first half which proved that the bankers were able to control the game even when the weather was against them.

KCB coach Curtis Olago had nothing but praise for his boys as they came out as the convincing victors. He said, “the boys handled the ball well even when the weather was not in our favour. He added that there are a few things the team need to touch up on before their next game against Nondies.

The bankers look to emulate their unbeaten run from last season and will continue to play with their high intensity against their next opponent.

Captain Rocky Aguko said he was proud of the effort his boys brought to the pitch and praised the team for showing such resilience to bring home the final result.
