Baringo resident surrenders gun to police as security operation continues

The Multi-Agency security team in Baringo County has recovered one AK-47 rifle and an empty magazine from a resident of Chemurtoi village, Tiaty East -Sub County.

The resident voluntarily surrendered it to the Chief of Naundo Location as the ongoing security operation to disarm locals continues.

The Chief handed over the firearm and the magazine to the Officer Commanding Tangulbei Police Station for safe custody on 27th June 2022.

This security operation in the volatile Baringo County is aimed at restoring peace in the area.

The National Police Service urges the residents to continue working jointly with the Multi-agency security team by sharing information that will lead to more recoveries and hence restore normalcy in the area.
