Bukhungu Stadium set to host western region Chapa Dimba finals

The winners will get a chance to represent Western region at the national finals set for June 2019 in Meru.

The Chapa Dimba youth tournament will enter the penultimate stage in Western Region with the finals set to be played this weekend at the Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega. 

Four girls’ teams,  Brenda Girls, Bishop Njenga , King’andole and Ibinzo Girls and four boys teams  ‘The Saints,  Ebbu Stars, Friends Bukembe  and Lugari Blue Saints made it to the regional finals after emerging champions in their respective sub-branches.

The teams will battle it out in the semifinals on Saturday, where the top two teams in each category will proceed to the finals set to be played on Sunday.

The overall winners in the region will pocket 200,000 shillings each and will also qualify for the national finals where the champions in both the boys and girls categories will walk away with one Million shillings.

Talented players will also be scouted and drafted in an all-star team that will enjoy a training camp in Spain.
