10 Q’s with Bushy the Prince
We managed to pull Bushy away from his Club1Extra interview on KBC to ask him 10 quick questions.
What’s your favourite place on earth?
Home. Whenever I’m at home I feel safe. I know there’ll be no insecurity because the people who are around me are family.
What albums are you listening to other than your own music?
I’m actually just listening to a few singles. I go for the ones that are catchy but still have the capability to evoke feeling. You know catchy music with feeling. I don’t how else to put it. Some of the artists I’m listening to are Ali Kiba, Jaguar, Trinidad and international artists like Chris Brown. I also listen to a bit of Indian music and Borana music.
What’s the one thing you can’t live without?
What do you dream about?
I dream about so many things. I want to take my music to another level, I want to give my family a good life; I want to own a recording label and probably in future venture into politics.
What’s the best thing about being an entertainer?
You get respect from everybody. You also get to do what you’re passionate about. It’s fun.
What’s the worst?
The criticism. I know we should always take it lightly but sometimes…for example when someone talks about how the career you’re in goes against your religion. How am I supposed to respond to that? Usually, I say nothing.
What keeps you up at night?
Chatting and thinking about my next song.
If you could travel back in time what era would it be and who would you hang out with?
The 90’s. I’d like to meet my grandparents, I’ve never met them.
What’s the most precious thing in your wardrobe?
My Adidas shoes
What made you laugh this week?
As I was coming here for the Club 1 Extra interview, I saw some guys fighting over alcohol.
Who/What is your biggest inspiration?
Politically, it would be Alfred Mutua. I think he’s doing great things.
