By-election campaigns kick off in Malindi

By KNA

Malindi by –elections may be hotly contested with the Jubilee administration and CORD  already fighting  to have  an upper hand in wooing voters in the area.

The two parties are trying to out-do each other with their presence in the town including on posters.

In an incident Sunday ODM banners were pulled down by rivals under unclear circumstances.

The banners bearing the message that Malindi is an ODM zone have since been replaced. Kilifi County Governor Amazon Kingi has condemned the destruction of the banners saying those who destroyed them should be compelled to replace them.

CORD and Jubilee are main rivals in the oncoming Malindi by elections set for March 7 which seeks to replace Dan kazungu who was appointed as CS for Mining.
