Nairobi Regional Commissioner Wilson Njega has assured citizens that information captured by the government in the National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS) popularly known as Huduma Namba is safe.

Speaking during a sensitisation Baraza at Kiambiu Chief’s Office in Kamukunji, Njega said the data will be stored by the government and no third party will be allowed to access it.

Nairobi Regional Commissioner Wilson Njega says training for the Huduma Namba registration officers will kick off next week ahead of the massive public registration exercise in April.

He encouraged wananchi to turn up in large numbers for the exercise.

The Huduma Namba which is a personal unique identification will  facilitate access government services.

Njega directed chiefs to strengthen their systems of information gathering noting it will boost security especially in slums.
