Migori county assembly proceedings were Wednesday morning disrupted following the reinstatement of former deputy speaker George Omamba.
Omamba had been impeached by his colleagues in May last year alongside county assembly clerk Tom Opere with Bukira East MCA Mathews Chacha and Emmanuel Abala taking their respective offices in acting capacities.
The planned impeachment of governor Okoth Obado has split the MCAs with those allied to the embattled county boss vowing to frustrate efforts to oust the governor who has been charged with graft.
The ODM leadership is spearheading the impeachment motion that was to be tabled Wednesday.
Trouble started when five MCAs allied to embattled governor Okoth Obado walked into the house which was in session and tried to disrupt proceedings chaired by Omamba.
The five MCAs were hiding in one of the offices in the assembly before they made their way into the house and started creating chaos.
A female MCA was injured in the ensuing melee and was rushed to hospital.

Attempts by the MCAs to resolve the simmering infighting were futile even after holding a Kakuminji Tuesday night to agree on the way forward.
