City Stars thrash Leopards

AFC Leopards failed to move back to pole position on the Sportpesa Premier League table after losing 1-0 to City Stars in the second match played today at the Nyayo national stadium.

The Leopards who dropped down to third position on the table at kick off failed to impress in the first half and found themselves a goal down midway through the second half netted by Oscar Mbugua.

That loss leaves AFC in third position behind leaders Tusker FC and Mathare United who kept a clean sheet in picking maximum points against Ushuru FC in the first match played at the same venue.

The 2008 champions defeated Ushuru 1-0 and host Sony Sugar in their next league match next weekend.

In another match hosts Sony Sugar played to barren draw against visitors Western Stima.
