Construction of Witeithie bridge commences

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has commenced construction of the Witeithie footbridge.

The contractor, Interways Works Limited, has started works and is expected to complete installation of the footbridge by December 2018.

This is one of the footbridges the Authority is erecting along the Nairobi-Thika Super Highway.

The contract for the other three footbridges at Mangu (Jomoko), Garden City and Kenya School of Monetary Studies has been awarded, and construction works are set to begin soon.

Upon the completion, KeNHA will remove the safety Humps it has installed in these locations to enhance safety for pedestrians crossing.

KeNHA urges motorist plying the Nairobi-Thika Highway to obey traffic signs provided and to observe courtesy during the installation period.
