The Murder suspect in the killing of seven family members in Embu East Sub-County of Embu County Boaz Wanjala Iyati has denied seven counts of Murder before Embu High Court Judge Lucy Njuguna.

Judge Njuguna ruled that the accused be held in custody until February 20, 2023 when the Court will rule on the bail application.

The prosecution opposed the release of Iyati arguing that he was at flight risk and had threatened his girlfriend who was the main target.

Ms Gakuo for prosecution the security of the ex-girlfriend was not guaranteed if the accused was released on bond.

Judge Njuguna further ordered for pre-bail report from the probation officer.
