DCI goes for notorious female criminal

Detectives from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have launched a manhunt for a suspected serial criminal Ms Jane Wawira Mugo.

Mugo is wanted for various criminal activities including Robbery with violence, impersonation and threatening to kill. A warrant of arrest has already been issued by a Nairobi court.

The DCI confirmed that the suspect who claims to be a private investigator and CEO of Trimo Security Limited has in the past been charged with various offences.

In 2015, she was accused of and charged with kidnapping a man for hours after forcing him to pay her 440,000 shillings.

Her latest hit was on 15th August, 2019 at New Muthaiga Estate, where she drew a pistol and threatened to kill a man on allegations that he was spying on a relative of the Director in a company where she was a private investigator.

On 12th December, 2016, her employees Isaac Ndirangu, Noreen Malala and Michael Gitau robbed a man of 90,000 shillings which he had withdrawn from a bank after they had introduced themselves as police officers.

However, the DCI is appealing to anyone with information about her whereabouts at report to any nearest Police Station.

That same year, she was also accused of impersonating a person employed in the Public service whereby she stormed the office of the victim’s lawyer and introduced herself as a Police officer upon which searched the house.
