Detectives are in pursuit of a man believed to have murdered his ex-girlfriend Thursday morning, after torching her house before taking off.
The incident occurred within Nairobi’s Njiru area after the said man visited the deceased who he separated with a while back.
According to two house helps who worked for the deceased, the man arrived at the home at around 8am Thursday.
Upon receiving her visitor the deceased gave the house helps time off saying the ex-boyfriend wanted some privacy as they addressed their marital issues.
Later on in the afternoon, the house was seen in flames, and even after efforts to put out the fire, nothing was salvaged.
The deceased burnt body, whose hands appeared to have been tied before the house was set ablaze, was recovered at the scene.
Detectives based in Kayole together with officers from the DCI Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau (CRIB) have launched a manhunt for the said man.
