Homicide detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations are trailing a middle-aged man suspected of killing his brother.
The suspect identified as Christopher Mburu Wakahiu is said to have stabbed his brother on the left side of his chest following a quarrel at a construction site where he worked as a caretaker in Murang’a’s Jerusalem area.
“Detectives are trailing a 26-year-old man who killed his elder brother last evening at a construction site in Murang’a’s Jerusalem area following a quarrel,” said DCI boss George Kinoti.
The victim, a businessman in Nairobi is reported to have visited his parents at Gaturi village in Murang’a over the weekend, and on his way back passed by the construction site to check on the progress.
“The two are said to have engaged in a quarrel over an issue, when the caretaker identified as Christopher Mburu Wakahiu drew a knife, stabbing his brother deeply into the left side of the chest thus killing him instantly,” he added.
The manhunt for Wakahiu who fled after the heinous act has been launched by Murang’a-based detectives.
