Digital billboards to be used to control traffic in Nairobi

The county government of Nairobi in collaboration with the private sector and the United Nations has rolled out a pilot program that will see the use of digital billboards set up along key roads to bring real-time air pollution data and control traffic. The project dubbed Nairobi air quality awareness demonstration is expected to leverage on digital platforms and expansive network infrastructure to support the air quality monitoring project to expand across more urban areas in Kenya.
