Cris Njoki talks enterpreneurship and owning the space you occupy

Cris Njoki is a fashion designer, entrepreneur and content creator. She is also the founder of Ikojn, pronounced eye-con, an affordable women’s ready-to-wear brand that caters to the evolving modern woman.

In order to raise capital for her brand, founded 7 years ago, Njoki sold second-hand clothes with a starting operating capital of KSh. 200. She eventually raised as much as KSh. 200,000 to start her own brand Ikojn.

In this interview with Shiksha, Njoki talks about cultivating a work ethic, her road to entrepreneurship, creating and marketing her brand and what it takes to own the space you have created as a creative.
