Ejected FKF President Nick Mwendwa arrested

The ejected Football Federation Kenya President Nick Mwendwa will spend the weekend in the police cells. Mwendwa was picked by detectives from DCI Friday afternoon at a hotel in Westlands after defying the government’s directive to leave office. He disregarded the suspension of local leagues announced by a caretaker committee and instead proceeded to release fixtures for the women’s premier league and national super league. On Thursday the government kicked out Mwendwa from FKF and put in place a caretaker committee to manage soccer affairs in the country.
