The festival is scheduled for June.
The Tribeca Festival has unveiled its 2022 lineup of 109 feature films from 40 countries and 88 world premieres including a short documentary about Kenyan comedienne, now based in America, Elsa Majimbo.
The film aptly called Elsa is featured under the category called Compass which features short documentaries about navigating life. Directed and produced by Julia Jansch and written by Elsa, the short gives viewers a glimpse into Majimbo’s rise to fame and the harsh realities of unashamedly being herself.
Elsa will screen alongside other shorts in that category including The Dreamlife of Georgie Stone, Paint & Pitchfork, Santa Barbara and Walking Two Worlds. The available dates to screen Elsa with a pass are June 9th and June 16th.
The aim of the Tribeca Film Festival, often referred to as TIFF, is to showcase a diverse selection of films, episodic, talks, music, games, art, and immersive programming. Owing to the pandemic, the festival is offering passes for film lovers who would like to watch from home.
