President Uhuru Kenyatta has called on Kenyans to embrace reconciliation during the Christmas celebrations and recommit to the healing and uplifting of the nation.

In a message of goodwill, the President noted that Christmas reminds us of a time for rebirth and reconciliation.

Christmas reminds us that there is time for rebirth; that there is time for reconciliation. That is the message of hope that I ask Kenyans to take with them into the New Year”, said President Kenyatta.

He added that the season which brings a message of hope and reconciliation should be a time of reflection aimed at making us better persons.

The head of state urged Kenyans to carry the message of hope into the New Year by being each other’s keeper and chose future leaders in a spirit of grace and peace.

He cautioned Kenyans those traveling by road to be careful giving an assurance that the government is doing everything to ensure all Kenyans are safe.

As you travel to meet family and friends this Christmas, I ask you to take the greatest care on our roads. My Government will do all it can to enforce the rules of the road, so that we can all celebrate in safety with those we love“, he added.
