Embu Level 5 Hospital to unveil chemotherapy treatment

The Embu county government has procured drugs worth 50 million shillings as it moves to improve healthcare services within the region.

The procurement of the drugs from mission for essential drugs and supplies coming ahead of plans to launch a level five hospital offering chemotherapy services later this month.

Speaking during the flag off ceremony, Embu County Governor Martin Wambora said the latest development that will level four hospitals supplied with essential drugs is part of his administration’s drive to improve healthcare services in the region.

Wambora says plans are underway to launch a Level Five Hospital offering chemotherapy treatment for cancer patients later this month.

The consignment includes drugs for the cancer center and kidney dialysis unit and cancer drugs worth 4.5 million shillings meant for the Level Five Hospital which is equipped with a modern theatre.
