19 members to the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal sworn in

Chief Justice Martha Koome presided over the swearing-in ceremony of 19 ad hoc members to the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal ahead of the August 9 general election.

According to chief Justice Martha Koome, the Judiciary is committed to performing its constitutional and statutory obligations to empower the Tribunal to deal with the avalanche of election-related disputes that are anticipated when political parties commence their nomination process. The CJ urged the new team never to depart from the law reminding them that the oath equally requires them to serve the country to the best of their abilities bearing in mind the enormous responsibilities placed upon them.
