Coach Kimanzi’s Seal of Approval as Stars face Zambia in friendly match


Harambee Stars coach Francis Kimanzi, emerged from his last training session to express satisfaction in his squad ahead of the upcoming friendly match against Zambia’s Chipolopolo stars.

Coach Kimanzi noted that despite the strict COVID-19 restrictions, the team has held great sessions and was optimistic of a positive result.

“The training we have had in camp I believe is sufficient for the friendly match tomorrow despite the short period of time and the delays caused by COVID-19 restrictions.” Said Coach Kimanzi.

Zambia’s Chipolopolo, are expected in the country on Thursday night, and will have a feel of the field of play on Friday morning ahead of the match later in the evening.

Harambee Stars and Zambia based shot stopper Ian Otieno, has exuded confidence in his teams’ capacity to attain a good result in the match.

“I believe the team is capable of delivering a positive result despite training for a very short period of time.” Said Ian Otieno.

Both teams are using the match as preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The match has been scheduled for Friday, October 9, 2020, at the Nyayo Stadium, starting 4 pm EAT and will be aired LIVE on KBC Channel 1.
