KANU first Vice Chairman Tom Ojanga enters Homa Bay Senator race

KANU 1st Vice Chairman Tom Ojanga has declared his candidature for Homa Bay Senator seat during the August 9th General election .

Ojanga who is a social transformation expert will vie on a Kanu party ticket,  with his manifesto focusing on curbing corruption and holding the county responsible for any funds embezzled.

The businessman also blamed current senator Moses Kajwang for failing the electorates, which has left the county behind in development due to rampant corruption.

“I am running on an anti-county theft platform with 40 MCA candidates to build a team capable of ending ran away corruption in Homa Bay county ,” he said.

Ojanga also called on Homa Bay gubernatorial aspirants to desist from using county funds for campaigns .

Ojanga has vast experience ,and running a conglomerate of business both locally and in Zurich ,Switzerland.

The businessman has served as Kanu Nyanza regional coordinator before , as well as working with ODM leader Raila Odinga.

At the same time Kanu party gave their chairman Gideon Moi a go ahead , to work with Raila led Azimio la Umoja coalition and other like minded partners ahead of the 2022 general elections .

The party also agreed on , no zoning in Nyanza as everyone will be voting for Raila Odinga.

ODM will have its own nominations in Nyanza as well as KANU .
