Eric Omondi studios closed

Eric Omondi Studios have been shut down by Nairobi Metropolitan Services

The recently opened studios called Eric Omondi Studios and Big Tyme Offices have been shut down by the NMS on grounds that they are located in a residential area. The offices are located in Lavington, Nairobi and were opened in mid-November this year.

Posting on his Instagram account Eric wrote a long post denouncing his offices’ closure. He wrote, “…Vijana wakilala wanahukumiwa, Wakiiba wanauliwa, wakiamka kufanya kazi ma Cartels wanawaziba…But this time they have touched a Live wire and they will BURN!!! They are playing with the wrong person…”

The comedian posted his statement with a video of his office grounds.

Just last week, Omondi was in the news slamming Dr Ezekiel Mutua, the Kenya Film Classification Board boss for his comments about the comedian’s craft.

Omondi’s studios were intended to be a space for creatives including musicians, comedians, actors to rehearse and shoot; basically all under one roof.

The comedian is however willing and ready to fight back.
