Ezekiel Mutua backs out of offering Bahati financial support

The Kenya Films and Classification Board chairman Ezekiel Mutua had not too long ago, promised singer Bahati a large amount of money in support of his music. The money was pledged to assist Bahati in recording his new album but now the deal is off.

On Saturday June 12th, Mr Mutua announced on his Twitter page that he was cancelling the KES 200,000 offer he had made to Bahati, because of posting of videos that were not clean. This week @InfoKfcb cancelled over 200k cash and other kind support to musician @BahatiKenya following the posting of videos which contravened our clean content and partnership policy. Our team decided to cancel the support and disassociate completely with the planned event“, the tweet reads.

Ezekiel’s outrage is probably about the ‘Fikra Za Bahati’ music video that Bahati dropped last week. In the video, Bahati is enjoying a cigar while enjoying the company of an enchanting woman.

All is not lost though, as a political aspirant by the name Ali Nur has pledged to give the Bahati his pre-promised KES 200,000.
