Nairobi’s most fashionable event is back yet again for the 9th edition of Fashion High Tea which will take place this Saturday, 16th February, from 2 pm to 8 pm.

Fashion High Tea (FHT) stands as one of Nairobi’s most coveted fashion events. This event like the Kenya Fashion Awards brings together people from the fashion and media industry but it differs from the former in that this one brings the most fashionable people in Nairobi together for a cause.

What is Fashion High Tea?

Zen Garden hosts this fashionable event annually; celebrating Haute Couture in Kenya in the month of February. The event is a high-profile event allows attendees to indulge in their favourite pastimes – fashion, shopping and socializing – in a luxurious and sophisticated atmosphere.

Love for a Cause

Every year, FHT teams up with media personality & philanthropist Caroline Mutoko to support a charitable cause. The proceeds from this year’s event will go to The Nest – A centre established in 1997 for the rescue, rehabilitation and reintegration of children in conflict with the law and children of imprisoned mothers.


What to expect this year

The Runway which is set intentionally on the upper lawn, allowing for intimate table settings, and 360degree views of the fashion show.

The runway will feature models from Mochez Models, who will be in make-up by Maybelline New York & sporting hair by Lily Hairline. The models will be showcasing designs from both local and international labels.

The specially tailored menu will include a Zen Sushi Bar, extravagant desserts and ice-creams from Häagen-Dazs, live savoury stations, burger bars, and a cheese bar by Brown’s Cheese!

Beverage bars fully stocked by Ciroc, Tanqueray No. 10, Don Julio, Singleton Cocktails, Classic Malt Selection by Diageo Reserve, Tusker Malts and Slater & Whittaker Wines. Soft drinks, tea and coffee will also be available.

Fashion & Floral Installations, creating the perfect backdrop for creative photography, music by DJ Foozak, and awesome conversation starters from Miano Muchiri will host the catwalk. Be sure to visit the Pam Golding photobooth & designer boutique pop-ups.
