Five ODM MP vow to join Jubilee Party in 2017

Five ODM Members of Parliament have vowed to join the Jubilee Party come 2017 general elections.

The MPs who spoke Saturday at a leaders meeting attended by Deputy President William Ruto said they were tired of being in the opposition and will defend their seat on a Jubilee Party ticket The MPs from Kilifi and Kwale counties dismissed those claiming they had been bought out noting that they have discovered the benefits of working with the serving government.

The MPs included Peter Shehe(Ganze)Mustapha Idi(Kilifi South)Gideon Mung’aro (Kilifi North),James Kamote(Rabai) Suleiman Mwashetani (Lunga Lunga), Mung’aro said the region has immensely benefited since the MPs declared their support to the government.

“We are tired of making noise as the opposition, It is time we are fully represented in the government, we cannot stand to be in the cold anymore,” he said.

Mwashetani said coast people have for long languished in the opposition, which had nothing to offer, but only empty rhetoric’s.

“We can see the numerous development activities brought about by the Jubilee government in roads and health sector, we now urge the government to settle the land problem once and for all, “he said.

Duale said that North Eastern and other marginalized areas were fully benefiting from the numerous development projects in initiated by the government.
