The Kenya swimming federation has unveiled five swimmers who will represent Kenya in the commonwealth games set for April this year in Australia.
This is after the end of national trials that were held at Kasarani Aquatic centre last weekend.
Sisters Sylvia and Maria Brunlehner and Emily Muteti are the three women in the Kenya’s squad to the commonwealth games.
Muteti impressed during the national trials clinching victory in the girls’ 50m breast stroke together with the two Brunlehner sisters.
The boy’s team is comprised of US-based Issa Abdallah Mohammed and Steve Maina Kimani to complete the five slots set aside for swimmers set to participate at the multi-sport Games.
Close to 300 swimmers from different swim clubs and schools within the country turned up for the trials and battled in different age categories including the boys and girls under the age of 10, 12, 14 and over 16 years categories.
