FKF elections D-Day as counties head to polls 

 

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) county  elections will be held this Saturday in a total of 21 counties with over 170 contestants gunning for several  positions.

Elections are set to kick off at 9am. Among the positions that will be contested across the vote include the County Chair,County Secretary, County treasurer County women rep and County Youth Rep among others.

Over 86 delegates are expected to be picked during the exercise ahead of the national polls in 17th October, 2020.

In Nairobi County various candidates wound up their campaigns on Friday.

George Onyango Ochieng who is contesting for the Nairobi East chairmanship position expressed his satisfaction in the process.

The former Nairobi East Secretary said ‘’The mood of the delegates in Nairobi East totaling to  98 is all telling that they are ready for the exercise..all I can assure is that all the aspirants from our team {blue} their vote is intact’.

His Nairobi west counterpart Caleb Malwei urged for a free and fair process.

The candidates allied to  incumbent FKF chairman Nick Mwendwa campaigned under the banner ‘TEAM Blue ‘ .

Mwendwa met the candidates drawn from Nairobi East and Nairobi West Branches  .

A 6 member FKF Electoral board headed by Kentice Tikolo for the third time is charged with putting up a foolproof exercise.

The Independent electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is set to supervise the polls.

Candidates who clinch seats at the elections will represent their respective clubs at the national polls.

  6. Busia – Busia County Commissioner Hall
  7. Kisii – Kisii Cultural Hall
  8. Nyeri – Temple Road Primary
  9. Isiolo – Isiolo Boyz
