Football Kenya Federation electoral board has promised to deliver a free and fair elections in line with World soccer governing body Fifa and FKF statutory framework.
The electoral board chairperson Kentice Tikolo conducted a training session for presiding and returning officers who will oversee the polling exercise.
County elections are slated for this weekend while the national polls will be held on the 17th of next month.
The elections will be supervised by IEBC.
‘’In the march elections we had 9 counties going through the elections in this forthcoming one we will conduct elections in a total of 21 counties,so my opinion is that this is a vote of confidence in the process, that’s why we have more aspirants coming up an indication that we will have a competition in all the positions being contested’’, said Tikolo.
Seven posts will be up for grabs in the county elections set for this weekend including:NEC representative, County chairperson, treasurer and youth rep among others.
This will be the third time the Tikolo led Electoral board will be overseeing the exercise after previous polls were annulled by the Sports Disputes Tribunal, SDT.
