Form four girl arrested for stabbing pupil to death in Kakamega

A form four female student was arrested in Kakamega Shihumbu village for allegedly stabbing to death a class 8 pupil in an apparent jealous fit.

The student is said to have stabbed the minor following a squabble over a boyfriend who is said to be a 19 year old boda boda rider.

The killing of the minor sparked outrage, resulting in the destruction of property as the family of the deceased stormed the house of the alleged assailant who is said to be the daughter of the area assistant chief and burnt it down.

The family is accusing the form four student of accosting their daughter on her way to the shop before stabbing her in the neck.

The family of the assistant chief has accused the police of inaction resulting in the destruction of their home.

The body of the deceased was taken to the mortuary while the girl suspected to have killed the minor was taken into custody and is expected in court as investigations continue.
