Former Cabinet Minister Nicholas Biwott is dead.

The 77-year-old veteran politician died on the 11th of July, 2017 at Nairobi Hospital.

Biwott had been admitted after a long illness.

According to family sources his body has been taken to the Lee Funeral Home.

The Ex Cabinet Minister served as a Member of Parliament for Keiyo-Marakwet and later the Keiyo South Constituency for 28 years.

The late also held several ministerial and government posts in the KANU government with Kenya’s first three presidents, Jomo Kenyatta, Daniel arap Moi and Mwai Kibaki.

The late was on record over the last 40 years of supporting many projects in the areas of education, health and medicine, and assisting small businesses.

Of all of Biwott’s nicknames, “The Total Man” is perhaps the most famous.

He coined it himself in a speech in parliament where he said that it was important for a politician to be “a man, a total man.”
