Former Changamwe Member of Parliament Ramadhan Seif Kajembe has passed on at Pandya Hospital.
According to the family spokesperson Hamisi Musa Mwidani who is a majority leader at Mombasa County Assembly, said Kajembe was admitted in hospital soon after the death of his wife a fortnight ago.
The 76 year old will be buried Saturday at a family cemetery in Changamwe.
He served as Changamwe MP from 2007 t0 2013 on an ODM ticket and later ran for Mombasa senatorial seat in the March 4, 2013 general election but lost to former Senator Hassan Omar Sarai.
Kajembe lost his first wife Aziza Kajembe on July 24, 2020 barely four months after losing his second wife Zaharia.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has eulogised the former Assistant Minister as a forthright politician, wise elder and accomplished trade unionist who served the country in different roles over the years with distinction.

The Head of State wished the family of Honorable Kajembe God’s comfort and fortitude as they come to terms with his demise.
Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho mourned Kajembe as a great son who was known for his generosity.
He served the people of Mombasa with diligence, utmost sincerity and stood out as a dependable shield in defending the rights of our people.
