Free entry to Kasarani Stadium for Kenya Vs Ethiopia game

The Government through the Cabinet Secretary in charge of Sports,Culture and Heritage Rashid Echesa has announced that there will be free entry into the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani when Kenya takes on Ethiopia in an AFCON 2019 qualifier match this coming Sunday.

The move is meant to rally maximum support from the fans to fill up the 60,000 capacity stadium

In a statement Thursday, the CS noted that: “Our national team Harambee Stars has continued to perform well in the AFCON matches where Kenya has beaten Ghana and drawn with Ethiopia. In this respect, the government has stepped up support for the team to ensure that Kenya qualifies for the AFCON 2019 championship to be held in Cameroon.”

On Wednesday, National soccer team Harambee stars held hosts Ethiopia to a barren draw in the 2019 Africa Cup of nations qualifier match played at the at the Bahir Dar stadium in Addis Ababa.

The team coached by Sebastien Migne now top group ‘F’ on 4 points and they need to beat the Walya Antelops this Sunday here in Nairobi  in return match to boost their chances of featuring in next year’s Nations Cup in Cameroun.

Confederations of Africa Football (Caf) cancelled the other group ‘F’ match between Ghana and Sierra Leone after World soccer governing body Fifa suspended the West African country from all international soccer.

Sierra Leone had beaten Harambee stars 2-1 in the group ‘F’ opener.
