Fuel prices may drop in April, authorities.

By Caroline Njenga

Expect lower fuel prices in the coming month of April.

This is according to petroleum authorities who say the cost of the average landed cost of petroleum products has reduced due to an increase of global oil prices.

In the last three month pump prices have been increasing owing to the increase in refined petroleum products, further inflated by the depreciation of the shilling against the dollar pushing up inflationary pressure.

Last month, inflation levels hit 9 percent above the government’s target range of 7.5 percent raising the cost of living among Kenyans.

Things might get better in the coming month as fuel prices are expected to go down.
