Tottenham and Sevilla have finalized a deal which sees one of Spain’s most promising youngsters Bryan Gil head to the Premier League.
The 20-year-old spent last season on loan with SD Eibar, scoring four times and providing four assists in 30 appearances.
The Sevilla youth product, capable of playing on both wings or as an attacking midfielder, has been competing with the Spanish Olympic Team the past couple of weeks.
Erik Lamela is currently in Seville to complete his medical with the 2019/20 Europa League winners. The versatile attacker, who primarily lines up as a right-winger, joined Tottenham in 2013 to be Gareth Bale’s successor.
Despite playing 257 matches for Spurs, he has never fully filled the boots of the Welshman.
The 29-year-old, who has his occasional moments of brilliance, will offer Sevilla a solid rotational option while arriving with everything to prove.
Tottenham will also be giving Sevilla around £21 million as part of the deal.
Spurs will remain active this transfer window, hoping to sign Cristian Romero and Takehiro Tomiyasu following the recent arrival of goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini.
