Gor beats AFC to move second place in KPL

Kenyan Premier League reigning champions Gor Mahia have moved to the second place in the league after beating arch-rivals AFC Leopards 2-0 in a ‘Mashemeji Derby played Saturday afternoon at the Kasarani Stadium.

Strikes from Kenneth Muguna in the 15th minute and Francis Kahata in the 64th minute sealed the win for the green army.

They have now won their 85th derby with style and ease as they prepare to head out to Angola for their Confederations Cup fixture.

KO’galo who are now three points behind league  leaders Mathare United missed the services of  striker Dennis Oliech  who  did not take part in the match  after sustaining an injury in training.
