Gor Mahia Knocked out of 2018 CAF Confederation Cup

Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia has been eliminated from the CAF  Confederation Cup after losing 2-1 to USM Alger in  a group ‘D’ match played Wednesday  in Algeria.

Goals from Prince Ibara and Amis Sayoud  helped the hosts to  register a victory  while KO’galo  scored their consolation  goal though Jacques Tuyisenge.

In the other match Rayon Sports of Rwanda beat Yanga SC of Tanzania 1-0 in Kigali.

USM Alger topped the group with 11 points, followed by Rayon on 9 points, while Gor Mahia who went into the last group match on top spot finished third on 8 points.

Yanga wound up bottom of the group on 4 points.
