Gov. Nkedianye puts ghost workers on notice

The Kajiado County Government has raised the red flag over the high number of absentee workers yet compromising service delivery.

Governor Dr. David Nkedianye says he will not hesitate to crack the whip on wayward employees.

A while back, the county government of Kajiado carried out a biometric registration exercise to get rid of ghost workers. However it seems some errant officers have found new ways of stealing from their employer.

Addressing members of the public at Loitoktok, an agitated Governor Nkedianye said a sizable number of officers have become tricksters reaping benefits where they have not sowed.

The tough talking Nkedianye said although the vice has spread to many departments within the county government, the health sector is most hit.

Nkedianye pledged to do everything within his power to enhance service delivery to the public

Kajiado county government has raised a red flag over high number of absentee officers compromising services rendering to Mwananchi.

The officers are said to report to work few days in a month in their work stations yet they continue to draw salaries and allowances to the chagrin of residents.

A tough talking Nkedianye said the health sector is the worst hit by a streak of absenteeism as selfish individuals abscond duties leaving patients to their own devices.
