Kilifi Governor, Amason Kingi, has announced he is now in self-quarantine after coming into direct contact with a patient who has tested positive for Coronavirus.
Kingi said he placed himself on self-quarantine on Thursday as Coronavirus protocols demand.
The governor says although he has tested negative, he will continue till the expiry of the mandatory 14 days.
In a statement, Governor Kingi said the patient is already in isolation.
He said they have identified all the county staff who came into direct contact with the patient and they have been ordered to go on mandatory self-quarantine for 14 days.
