Governor Tunai reshuffles cabinet, orders payment of pending bills

Narok County Governor Samuel Ole Tunai has reshuffled his county executive and chief officers in an exercise he says is aimed at enhancing performance and improving service delivery to the residents.

Narok Governor Samuel ole Tunai says the reshuffle of the County Executive and chief officers is aimed at enhancing the implementation of county policies and programmes and efficiency in service delivery.

Tunai named Julius Momposhi Tompo as Finance CEC with Kurraru Peter Simon serving as his Chief Officer, John Marindany will be the CEC for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, John Kiayiapi CEC Water Energy and Natural Resources, Morgann Siloma CEC for health, Cecilia Wuapari CEC Education, Vivian Sereti CEC Land, Housing and Urban Development and George Supeyo CEC Trade and Industrialization.

Elizabeth Lolchoki retained her position as the County Secretary.

Tunai directed the new CEC for Finance Julius Momposhi Tompo to pay all pending bills which have accumulated to Ksh 1.9 billion following an audit of contractors.

The Governor further asked the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to further probe the matter and ensure that those contractors with the intent of defrauding the county are brought to book.
