Information Communication and Technology cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru says the government was keen on taping skill by young people to drive its agenda going forward.
Mucheru was speaking in Kwale where he represented President Uhuru Kenyatta for the International Youth Day Celebrations.

The government committing to the youth plans to set up Empowerment centers in all sub counties to tap on the enormous skills possessed by young people in the country.
Young people were challenged to take advantage of the various initiates already put in place by the government for their economic benefits.
The government also using the forum to tout the competence-based curriculum as a panacea to unemployment as it will equip learners with skills to drive the nation forward.
This Year the International Youth Day was celebrated under the theme Transforming Education with Education and speakers took issues with the alarming rate of teenage pregnancies in the host county urging parents to take responsibility over their children to avoid being lured by sex predators and drug traffickers.
