GSU ready for playoffs

National champions GSU men’s volleyball team tactician Gideon Tarus is optimistic his charges are in tip top shape ahead of the playoffs slated to serve off on 1st -3rd December at the Kasarani Indoor gymnasium.

The paramilitary side is currently training at the Kasarani indoor Arena under the watchful eye of Gideon Tarus, and former Kenya International Dan Tali.

The youthful squad will be aiming to replicate the same performance that saw the side finish fifth overall in Africa early this year in Egypt.

GSU will peg their hope on talented setter Brian Melly, fast rising attacker Abiud Kipkirui and Cornelius Kirwa.

The reigning national champions will face perennial nemesis Kenya Prisons, KDF and KPA in their quest to defend the league title.

In the ladies category seven time African champions Kenya Pipeline will take on archrivals Kenya Prisons, KCB and Bungoma County.
